課程概述 |
This course aims to introduce students to a number of fiction from the late-eighteenth century to the early-nineteenth century. All the novels discussed in this course are written by women writers, including the more well-known writer as well as the marginalized ones. This course will explore the use of language/representations and consider the implications of the French Revolution and political turbulence in these novels.

課程目標 |
This course hopes to introduce students to some of the best novels by British women writers in this period. By the end of this course, students will acquire knowledge of key aspects of writing of this period. Students will be able to relate these novels to their historical and cultural contexts, and to develop familiarity with the concept of a female literary tradition.
